Vote to remove all the remaining 4 members on the ballot
Dear Fairfield Harbour Property Owners and Neighbors,
On Thursday September 12 th the POA Noticed the REMOVAL MEETING. This is not an election but
a removal vote meeting. Just like the last time the membership removed 2. Now we are removing 4
directors (or their replacements) who voted to approve the club house building and funding without
your input. Please check your emails and spam and junk folders as your ballots may be in there. If
you don’t have email with the POA the paper ballot should be in your US mail by the 16 th . If you don’t
receive a ballot, CALL THE POA OFFICE to get one. Please remember to vote to remove the 4
board members or their replacements. The POA may not want you to vote on their projects,
but we do! The special meeting results will be announced at the Point on September 27 th at 11:30
am.
On Friday September 13 th , 2024, there seemed to be a meltdown at the POA. A letter titled “A letter
from the President of the Board of Directors, FHPOA an Opinion by the President of the POA” was
posted. We are not going to respond to his post as many in the community have taken care of that for
us. Thank You!
A simple solution was on the table “Let the People Vote”. Time after time we repeated this message.
If the membership voted yes to build the $6.5 million dollar project costing all of us $10 million plus
after all is said and done fine. But NO, the board repeatedly said you don’t get a vote. We need to
shut down the construction while they still don’t have permits. Yes, they are clearing but have no
permits. Vote them out!
FHSTOP was formed as FH Save The Open Property. We have grown into a sizable group with the
help of the membership (you). Remember the 55+ community proposal is only on “pause” according
to the last words of the board. All amenity property needs to be “Common Property”. Why? Because
they cannot sell it off without your vote. Let’s make that happen by removing the 4.
The North Carolina Statute allows members to remove a director (s) with or without cause. We don’t
need a cause, but we are sure most members can give you a few reasons of their own why it needs
to be done.
The vision of where Fairfield Harbour needs to be going is in the hands of the members not the
Board. Seven (7) people should not be making major financial obligations for the members without a
vote of the people. We need open meetings, limited executive sessions, more voting rights and open
records to start. We build on that to see what today’s membership wants. It can be done by voting
them out.
The Friday FHSTOP spaghetti and meatball fundraiser was a huge success. Thank you to all the
supporters, volunteers and committee people who worked hard. The weather cooperated and it was
nice to see everyone having a good time.
Please visit: fhstop.com it’s not too late to donate to the Go-fund-me to cover our legal bills.
This is an official message from FHSTOP.
